About Bamboobino

Bamboobino is a nationally recognized brand and an industry leader in bamboo children's clothing, bed + bath and accessories.

Bamboobino was created by a mum of 2, Sharon Chai, in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Bamboobino is the result of wanting the softest, most practical and least damaging (to humans and to the environment) fabric for my children. We've used bamboo products in our household for years; and since discovering its use in fabric, I've wanted to share this wonderful fiber with other families.

The viscose from bamboo fiber in all our products are Oeko-Tex 100 certified, and is made from OCIA & USDA-certified organically grown bamboo. The organic cotton in our products are also OCIA-certified. All our products are made in Vancouver except our socks, crib sheets and pandas, which are sourced ethically in Asia. Whenever possible, we use local suppliers. Our company embraces triple bottom line (people, planet, profit) practices and knows there is always room for improvement.

We were nominated for the 2007 Visions of Excellence Award, the 2008 and 2010 SavvyMom Mom Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Douglas College). In 2008 Bamboobino received a scholarship from Vancity for Ecotrust's Climate Smart which will methodically help our company work toward our goal of becoming carbon neutral.

By the way... our Bamboobino panda logo was inspired by our 2-year old daughter, who now sleeps on her tummy, bottom up in the air.
